The children are on vacation, healthy and happy! We have a lot of activities planned.
Andrea's adoption finally came true she left on Monday, 25 April. The previous Saturday she had a going away party with all the children. Even though we will miss her, we know that she is going to a loving family and will have a good opportunity in her life.
There's a family very interested in Michelle, Monse and Little Fernanda. They came over for a visit and fell in love! They have a 9 year old daughter. I had an interview with Mary; she wanted to know some of their story and if it will be possible to help them with DIF. I called the Psychologist in DIF and she said that it was a special case since they are willing to adopt all 3 girls. The contact is done so we just have to wait and see .
13 children have started their swimming classes- you can imagine there eagerness to learn. During the summer we will have the other children in classes too.
Our friends from the consulate threw a great party for the children with hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill. It was a lot of fun.
Cetys University sponsored a party for the children on their campus. Every child had a padrino, also CANACO invited them to another party.
Father Candelario gave a service on good Thursday. He blessed the bread, and the older children washed the feet of the little ones. We made chocolate and the children ate the bread.
On Good Friday Father Cande walked with all of us in the home for the Viacrusis and we prayed at every station.
Following the Easter Sunday service we rehearsed a little program that the children want to do after the Sunday service on 08 May for all the Mothers. If possible when you come on the 14th the kid's want to do it for you too.
April 9TH TRIP REPORT
We had 8 visitors total on the April 9th trip. We spent the visit playing with the children and had a wonderful Easter Egg Hunt! Come join us next month and make some happy memories - for you AND the kids.

Recently, children at Christ Church Sunday School got busy and made birthday cards for their brothers and sisters at Dorcas House.
UPCOMING EVENTS
Hola Amigos, The Next Dorcas House Visit!
Please join us on the next visit to Dorcas House in Tijuana on Saturday, May 14th. The children love return visitors and newcomers alike and always look forward to our visits. We'll meet in the St. Paul's Cathedral parking lot ( 2728 Sixth Ave ) at 11:30 AM and return to San Diego by 6:00PM. We carpool down to the border parking lot, cross the border on foot and grab some lunch at our favorite outdoor restaurant. After that, we take a group taxi to the foster home where we visit and play with the children. It will be a fun day you will never forget. Please plan to bring about $20 per person (or $40 per family) to cover the cost of transportation and insurance (no one is turned away for lack of funds). Expect to spend another $5 to $10 per person on lunch and incidentals. A valid passport is required. The Next Dining for Dorcas
The next event is May 21st and will be held at the home of Hal & Ellen Meier (who have a beautiful downtown skyscraper condo! It takes up fully half the entire 33rd floor and is truly amazing).
