OPPORTUNITIES

St. Christopher's Episcopal Church

PENSACOLA, Florida - St. Christopher's in Pensacola is addressing its long-standing water run-off issues plus the need for safer, wider walkways by building "Memorial Walkways" around the church buildings.  The parish is offering parishioners and members of the community and the diocese the opportunity to purchase a brick in honor of those who have walked before us.

Click here to be a part of it!

St. Christopher's also gave over $25,000 to charities recently from the proceeds of their highly successful, annual Christmas Caravan.

Read about it here

Emergency Call by Habitat for Humanity of Mobile

Habitat for Humanity in Mobile County is in need of funding for two houses that are to start in March.  The partner families have worked hard to earn their sweat equity and save for their down payment, but the funding that was anticipated has not come through.  Much is riding on Habitat being able to complete these houses by June.  Not only will these two families benefit by moving from deplorable conditions into decent, safe and affordable homes, but by finishing these two houses we will continue to have access to some grant funds through Habitat for Humanity International.  If we don't, we are in jeopardy of losing that source of funding for future houses for the next 3 years.

Thus, more than these two houses are at stake in the mission to eliminate poverty housing in Mobile County.

Habitat has asked our partner vendors to donate some or all materials over and beyond normal and cutting costs as we can.  Yet we still need to raise $75,000 in a short time.  We are trusting in the Lord who multiplied 5 loaves and 2 fish to feed 5,000.

Please contact Dave Betler at dbetler@habitatmobile.org or at 251-476-7171 for further information.  Thank you."

Go in peace to love and serve the Lord.
Thanks be to God.
