January 19, 2011
Greetings!
The Coastline is sporting a new, cleaner look for 2011. Because the full text, photos and information reside on the website, The Coastline will serve as a summary of news and announcements, some of which include links to take you to those web pages.
Holy Nativity, Panama City - "Well, I must admit your phone calls are always . . . thought provoking," said Bishop Duncan when I called him in December with an "idea." "I'm not sure that's ever been done before!" said the Bishop.

Duncan, the Episcopal Community of the Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast met at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Panama City, Florida for its first Quiet Day and Taize Eucharist on January 15, 2011. In other news about St. Andrew's, the Prescription Drug Program which was started in October of 2010 has been hugely successful. The PAP is based at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church which provides the office space and volunteers to assist in making prescription medications affordable.
"Anybody who has gone to a drugstore to fill a prescription knows just how expensive drugs are," said Reverend Margaret Shepard, "... so we're just thrilled to have this as a part of our servant ministry program."
Holy Cross, Pensacola - A new sign will be the beacon for many years to come at Holy Cross in Pensacola. Click here to see before and after photos!
