 A new book, Finding God Day by Day: A year of meditations, is just out from Forward Movement. It is a collection of 365 meditations for each day of 2011. Twelve writers contributed the meditations; among them are three with roots in our diocese: the Rev. Jerald Hyche, the Rev. Camille Hegg, and The Rev. Albert Kennington. Another contributor is Barbara Cawthorne Crafton. Each writer for this collection was given the assignment "to look for God in the common things of life." Unlike the daily readings in the quarterly, Forward Day by Day, these meditations are not based on the lectionary. Writers were free to look more broadly and personally.
