We will be working on a fun and lighthearted segment for a talk show's Thanksgiving episode and are looking for a family who would be interested in participating. Specifically, we are looking to assist a family, that has one or a few members with bad table manners, get ready for the holiday season and formal dining. If your husband slurps his soup, keeps his elbows on the table or talks too loud AND if your kids belch or throw food at the table, we would love to help! The segments shoot this week! If interested, please contact Keegan Heise directly at [email protected].

We were thrilled to be interviewed recently by Martha Stewart Living Radio on the topic of other people's ill-mannered children and how to broach the subject with the little rascals and their parents when their bad behavior starts to rub off on our own children. Listen hereAs well, we have compiled a list of tips on how to elicit the best behavior in our own kids, as well as others when attempting to gently address the subject with family and friends, read here...

"Tricks are for Kids" - Halloween Etiquette for Kids of All Ages
Halloween Etiquette

Kids of all ages love Halloween. Young children begin prompting their parents for costumes as early as August. Some of them have been planning which superhero or princess they want to be months prior while others can't wait to visit the pumpkin patches and eat candy corn till their hearts are content. Many celebrate with Halloween parties and decorated houses and a few skip the festivities altogether preferring to curl up on the couch watching a scary movie. However you choose to acknowledge the holiday, parents and children alike should take a moment to review our essential Halloween etiquette tips on how to survive the night of fright!.  Read here...

Greetings!

We are dedicating this month's newsletter to Autumn and the notion of turning over a new leaf, both literally and figuratively. As Southern Californians, we don't often have an occasion to witness the spectacular seasonal changing of the leaves, however we can always make time in our lives to turn over our own personal leaves that do not become us so that we can begin anew.

With just two months left in the year, it is never too late to take stock of ourselves, to strive to be our finest and to put our best foot forward. With this in mind, we are excited to announce a wonderful opportunity to receive etiquette training on live television (see TV Talk Show Opportunity) to truly help you shine just in time for the holidays!

If you are unable to join us in the studio, we have an array of courses we are offering from our Young Ambassador's Etiquette class for children ages 6-12 to our Mother & Daughter Holiday Etiquette Tea celebration and our Art of Civility Class for Teens. Don't forget to take a peek at our essential etiquette tips for Halloween before heading out tonight with the family!

Adults, please note that we also offer private instruction for individuals and groups on everything from interviewing skills and business etiquette to conversation skills and dining manners.  Give us a call or email us, we'd love to hear from you!

Have a wonderful week and Happy Halloween!!

As ever,

Lisa
