Greetings!
Unbelievable! The summer is now a distant, fading memory and here we are already entrenched in September, back to school and back to work. Hopefully, a little rest and relaxation was part of the equation during the summer break and you now feel rejuvenated and ready to begin anew.
To set the wheels in motion, we have compiled a Back-to-School issue with plenty of resources, articles and discounts to make the transition back into work mode a smooth one. Whether you're in need of a tutor for your child or a college intern for your company or whether you're interested in a unique program to raise funds for your school or planning your child's coming of age celebration, our featured partners are here to help!
For this new year, we have decided to return to our roots and will begin once again calling our newsletter "Impressions" so that you will always know when it arrives in your In-Box each month.
Finally, we are super excited to be starting our Cotillion on Wednesday. For a first time out, we feel priviledged and honored to have such a wonderful turnout of children.
Here's to a very healthy, happy and successful new school year!
Warmly,
Lisa Gache

"Lessons in the Art of the Meal"
With the unemployment rate at an all time high in California, candidates seeking jobs are looking for that special quality that will set them apart from the competition. Polite dining skills will do that and more! Knowing how to navigate the table takes the focus off what you are doing and allows you to concentrate on the conversation during your meal.
A recent article, "Lessons in the Art of the Meal", published in the Wall Street Journal, reviews the top dining etiquette DVD's devised to arm executives with the dining prowess they need to impress and seal the deal. These instructional videos make perfect sense for learning in the privacy of your own home, however, if you are looking for hands on instruction in a class setting, then "The Business Lunch" is the course for you. Covering all aspects of the business meal, from business card presentation to how to properly break bread, these skills are indispensible and guaranteed to woo any employer or client.
