Conversations with P'taah-November 2007
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 In November, our guests for Conversations with P'taah were two sisters, Christine Calder and Susan Mackintosh. It was a wonderful session with some very thought-provoking questions.
Some of the highlights include a track on dealing with depression, a very relevant question at this time of year, and a fascinating discussion of where memory resides. Hint -- it isn't in your mind. They then talked about some cave photographs that showed lights and what those lights might be, and they talked about the pyramids, the synchronicity of lifetimes, how to deal with media-induced fear, and whether or not there is a correlation between 'this game', i.e. the gameplan we have chosen for this lifetime, and 2012.
As always, the list of topics does not do justice to the actual sessions! In addition, if you're excited by Conversations and think you'd like to talk one-on-one with P'taah about your own issues, personal sessions are available by telephone. For more information, visit the website or call 1-760-366-0375.
December special - one FREE MP3 file
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Our holiday gift to you is a free MP3 file of your choice. Because the shopping cart will not process orders without a credit card number, and we're pretty sure no one wants to give us their credit card for something that's supposed to be free, you'll need to use the Contact Us form.
If you're ordering more than one item you can use the shopping cart, however it is not going to show the free file. That's something we will take care of it when we
process the order.
This offer is valid for any of the Conversations with P'taah or any remastered MP3 files in the catalog. There is a limit of one per person.
Happy Holidays from all of us at Light Source P'taah!

Navigating Our Shopping Cart
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We have had several complaints about problems with our shopping cart. Since we got caught in the same circular nightmare when we tried to place a test order, here's the deal. When you're ready to check-out, you must enter your city -- for customers in the US, Canada and Australia, you'll need your city, state and zipcode. Then you click on your country. For some reason, there is no ENGLAND. Instead click on GREAT BRITAIN or UNITED KINGDOM.
On the next screen you either enter your User Name and Password or create one. We're trying to change this since we agree that it's absurd, nevertheless you'll save yourself a lot of grief if you'll just do it. As far as I can tell, you can create a new user name and/or password every time, but create one you must.
Then make sure you have filled out all the starred boxes -- you can copy your name & address into the shipping section by checking that box if you want. Then be sure to check the box at the bottom that you have read the Privacy Policy. With luck it will now allow you to proceed to the credit card page. Once there, fill in the credit card information carefully. Most of the cards that are declined are declined because of an error in the expiry date.
We hope this helps. We also request that you contact us anytime you have trouble with the website or shopping cart so we can pass the problem on to tech support.
Message from P'taah
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  "Q: Is there an experiment or an exercise that could show a person that they are co-creating everything in their lives?
P'taah: If you would look at the situation in which you feel to be the victim, and look very honestly at the beliefs and the fears that are involved, not only in this situation but which could lead to those situations, then if you hold that you do create your reality out of your own beliefs and fears then you can see how you have drawn something to you. It is called Law of Attraction. However, if people are not prepared to acknowledge that they indeed create their own reality, then there is no point.
Q: Right, because they haven't taken responsibility yet.
P'taah: Absolutely, and so as long as people will not take responsibility, then they are victims.
But where you are assisting somebody, beloved, and you from your non-involvement can see clearly that this person had certain beliefs about the situation they have created, then you can perhaps direct them, in a way, so that they can see the fear and see the beliefs that had lead to the situation.
Q: Right, gently leading them.
P'taah: Indeed, and this is very beneficial for those of you who are therapists.
Q: Which I'm not but I tend to find myself into this situation of assisting people every once in a while.
P'taah: Indeed, most of you do and so you are being therapists in the moment, hmm?
Q: Right, right, and that leads me to another question about mental health which is, how do you help someone who has a type of schizophrenia where it's so difficult for them to see what their fears are or embrace anything because they are so mired in this mental problem. Could you speak to us about mental health?
P'taah: Indeed, we see that there is a very grave problem and much of this stems from the labels put upon these poor ones who are having great difficulty managing in their reality.
We have noticed that there is much chemical imbalance where certain recreational chemicals are being used which may lead to an imbalance of mental facility.
Much of mental ill-health is due to the non-understanding of the nature of reality and the non-understanding of responsibility and the true nature of responsibility, in a way, so that people feel like victims. People become attached to their own stories and cannot see beyond them, and, in a way, very often have a certain investment in maintaining the status quo. Where there is attention being paid, where there is, we would say, focus upon the person, then there is an investment in keeping that attention and focus, you see?
Where people can absorb the ideas of the nature of reality and how they exist within the framework, and the power they have within the framework, then they have a choice whether to step into the power or not.
Q: Right. Again you can give assistance but in the end the person himself has to make the choice.
P'taah: Absolutely.
Q: It also seems to me that you've talked about the imbalances caused by the use of chemicals and that many people who use chemicals, whether it's marijuana or another substance, use it because they are so unhappy with the reality as they perceive it. It's a kind Catch 22. How do you get past that?
P'taah: That is correct. This is also particularly so for what you call the anti-depressant chemicals. This is called take a pill and do not deal with the unhappiness, with the fear and with the belief, with the hopelessness of being powerless to change anything. For as long as your medical practitioners are simply prescribing chemicals for people to deal with their fear, then indeed nothing will change.
Part of that is education, you see. Where people are not taught that they have the power to transform the reality, and where they are taught that it is always for what you call 'a quick fix' -- take a pill and make it feel better. And so this is, in a way, why you turn to your chemicals, whether it is that what you call recreational drugs or prescribed drugs. At some point it is necessary to take responsibility and say, "I do not like this. I am unhappy and I can change it."
When you can really look at what you call 'depression' simply as a case of hopelessness, then it changes. You have a label called 'clinical depression'. So this is a grave disease for which you must take a pill or a potion. What it is is clinical hopelessness in the non-understanding that each one of you has the power to change whatever is going on and by simply acknowledging the fear of the feeling, or the fear of powerlessness, you can step into your power.
Q: My personal favorite is Social Anxiety Disorder. If you are nervous going among people, you should take a pill so that you are able to interact more gracefully. It's such garbage.
P'taah: It is, absolutely. You see it is also very economically viable, right?
Q: Yes, it is, for the drug companies.
P'taah: Remember also that nothing needs to be fixed, but anything may be transformed. And in the remembrance that life is simply a perception, a totally subjective perception, then you can understand that as you change the perception, you change the reality.
When people who are afraid in social situations understand that everybody else, in a way, is in the same fear then they can relax into it, you see? That terror of being judged to be not enough becomes simply an acknowledgement that all of you, one way or another, can be nervous about other people's supposed possible judgment so that you may relax.
So, my beloved ones, sufficient unto the time for this day. It is with greatest love that we issue forth to all of you,
Namaste."
P'taah
