16th Annual Icon Workshop The Prosopon School of Iconology ( www.prosoponschool.org) will hold its 16th workshop at Trinity Church, from July 15th through July 20th. Students will create icons using the same techniques and materials that have been used for nearly two millennia, and will be introduced to the underlying theology and symbolism. Previous artistic experience is helpful but not required, as icon 'writing' is as much a form of contemplative prayer as a sacred art form. This year's workshop will once again be taught by Vladislav Andrejev, founder of the Prosopon School, with assistance from Trinity parishioner and workshop coordinator, Maureen McCormick. For more information and the registration form, click here. The deadline to register is June 6th.

May 20th is Remembrance Day in the Memorial Garden
Please join us on Sunday, May 20th for an annual "Day of Remembrance" in the Memorial Garden. Following the 10 a.m. service, we will gather briefly in the Trinity Memorial Garden, facing the main entrance to the church. The Rector will lead us in thanking God for the beauty of our church and its grounds, and, more importantly, to remember loved ones and friends of Trinity who are no longer with us. All are welcome to participate in this special tribute.

Trinity Companions
Trinity's ministry to residents of Merwick Nursing Home has been rekindled, thanks to a number of you who have responded to the Outreach Committee's plea. Already, we hear of the pleasure that these visits bring to people who need companionship and conversation. The number of residents who attend the monthly Eucharist Service has greatly increased. The staff on the floor tell us that our visits have made a huge difference; we see it in the faces of the people we greet. Our visits to residents have been made during the day and early evening, privately in residents' rooms or in the dining room where all gather. We encourage visitors to briefly record their visits in a loose-leaf notebook at the front desk so as to inform other visitors about who was visited and when. Please let us know, if you have not already done so, of your interest in joining Trinity Companions. So far, the following wonderful people have become involved: From the Altar Guild, we thank Mary Alden and Donna Laessig. We thank those who have already volunteered to be companions: Loretta Cooper, Dulcie Bull, Judy Lowry, Leanne Gentile, Robin Gilbert, Thalia Mingo and Don Mann. We thank any of you who would still like to join Trinity Companions. You will find this ministry very rewarding
