20% Film Incentive and Loan Guarantee Program Launches 

 

As of July 1, 2012 the new Colorado Film Incentive Program and the Loan Guarantee Program is open to applicants! Production companies can review program guidelines and download applications here.


"The Irish in Film" at the Colorado Irish Festival July 13-15 

    

The Colorado Irish Festival is this month. Along with music and cultural events, the Colorado Irish Festival will be hosting a film exhibit titled "The Irish in Film" and presented by the Ward Irish Music Archives.

 

Enjoy vintage film posters, facts about Irish filmmakers and all that the Irish & Irish Americans have contributed to film. More information.  

 



Denver Comic Con: Video Game Creation Panel 

   

The Office of Film, Television & Media (OFTM) was proud to be a part of the hugely successful Denver Comic Con! The inaugural event took place June 15th - 17th and brought together comic book professionals, media stars, authors and creators. The Video Game Creation panel hosted by the OFTM gave local video game developers the chance to gain insights from some of Colorado's leaders in the industry. Bryan Mashinter of Backflip Studios, Brian Robbins of Riptide Games and Peter Walters, the former Animation Director at Idol Minds shared their experiences, views, and recommendations on breaking in and being successful in the industry. The panel was moderated by Micki Hackenberger, lobbyist for the Entertainment Software Association. Thanks to all who participated and joined us for this great event. 



Wine Tasting Event at the Governor's Mansion July 31 

    

Come enjoy Colorado-grown wine, while mingling among technology leaders and professionals at the 8th Annual Colorado Technology Association Wine Tasting at the Governor's Mansion Tuesday, July 31 at 6 p.m. 

 

The 2012 Annual Wine Tasting is one of the year's most anticipated events. With great food, wonderful Colorado wine and an evening dedicated to pure networking, this year will be no exception.

Historic Places Traveling Film Tour

     

 

Colorado Preservation Inc.'s Most Endangered Places Program and Share and the Care Colorado will be kicking off a Historic Places Traveling Film Tour beginning July 13th. The film tour will be showing Havey Production's "Centennial Statehouse: Colorado's Greatest Treasure" at various historic sites throughout the state.  

 

The tour's mission is to promote the benefits of historic preservation, educate communities on the current structural issues the State Capitol is facing and its effects on preservation funding statewide, and highlight historic theatres and sites through cultural tourism. More information here.
