Colorado has become a center of tech creative and DiMe (Digital Media Symposium), in its third year, highlights this bounty. The interactive symposium nurtures networking and the sharing of new ideas while showcasing those industries that are on the cutting-edge of technology.  This year's event features thought leaders in the field of animation, film/video,sports, music, gaming, social media, transmedia storytelling and digital branding.

Dr. Alvy Ray Smith, a co-founder of Pixar Animation Studios, will deliver the keynote address. Dr. Smith is a world-renowned computer graphics pioneer and two-time Academy Award winner.      

 

 

The symposium will be moderated by Don Hahn, Academy Award-nominated producer of the animated feature films Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King and this year's BIFF world premiere High Ground. 

 
Presenters include Paul Berberian, CEO of Orbotix; Ben Long, Founder of Noise Buffet/123GuitarTuner.com; Carla Johnson, Founder & CEO of EarthvisionZ; Harris Morris, President of Harris Broadcast Communications; Andres Espineira, Founder & CEO and Melissa Hourigan, Vice President of Marketing for Pixorial; Rob Schuham, Co-Founder of FearLess Revolution; J. Erik Dyce, Founder & CEO of In Demand Bands; and Micah Baldwin, Founder & CEO of Graphicly . Also participating is Joel Swanson director of the Technology, Arts & Media Program at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
