Worker Studio and KDM Productions Clean Up

catColorado-based Worker Studio and KDM Productions recently received a Platinum EMPixx Award for The Cleaning. The Cleaning is a live-action/animation promotional film, for Delta Dental of Colorado, to teach children the benefits of eating healthy and taking care of their teeth.

The Tooth Fairy calls on her trusty animated sidekick, Chopper (Delta Dental of Colorado's Mascot), to do a clean sweep throughout the house after she finds a rotten tooth left by a young boy. Instead of money, the boy receives a lesson that only the Tooth Fairy and Chopper can teach.

The judges of the EMPixx Awards had this to say about The Cleaning: "Outstanding opening...holds attention...excellent blend of live- action and animation...great concept...well produced."

The Cleaning was produced and edited by KDM Productions' Kevin Mauch, and directed by Worker Studio's Michael "Ffish" Hemschoot; the animation and visual effects were completed by Worker Studio. This project was created with the intent of sending it all over the state of Colorado, along with a CD-Rom filled with lesson plans, coloring pages and more, to school districts and dental offices. altaThis unique mountain home, known as The Observatory, was built in 1975 and sits on Historic Mining Claims.  It offers Breathtaking Backdrops, is surrounded by National Forest and located just beneath the 13,000 foot Palmyra Peak with amazing views of The Wilson Mountains.

The "Observatory" is situated on one of the pristine Alta Lakes. This Observatory is adjacent to the Telluride Ski area and the Historic mining town of Alta, the first town in the World powered by alternating current.  This area is a mountaineer's paradise and just 13 driving miles from the Town of Telluride.

The location is easy to work with and the owners are long time locals and extremely accommodating. Just 10 miles from the Telluride airport the scenery will look like you are miles away from all civilization.
