I hope you'll take the time out of your busy day on Tuesday to vote in the election for the two open seats on the LCUSD Governing Board.

Please remember there is no school Friday in observance of Veteran's Day. 
 
We are trying a new fundraiser this year: gift cards. Please read below for all the details.

Mrs. Hurley asks that you mark your calendars for a meeting about the potential expansion of the PCR parking lot. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 16th at 6:00 p.m. in the MPR.
 
New Kindergarten Daisy Girl Scout Troops are now forming. If your Kinder daughter is interested, please contact Suzette  Moran at 818-634-0084.  
 
   
One of my favorite things about La Canada High School are the many great service organizations your children can join.  LCHS "Teens for the Advancement of Children's Hospital (TACH) will host its third annual Rummage Sale this Saturday, November 12, from 7am to noon at the La Canada Community Center, 4469 Chevy Chase Drive.  There will be furniture, household goods, books, accessories, jewelry, toys and many more items at a great price.  All proceeds benefit the Adolescent Medicine Division of Children's Hospital Los Angeles. 


Please save the date, Friday, November 18, for our first Parents and Students Lunch on the Lawn. Bring your child's favorite lunch and visit with him/her during lunch time.  

  

Jog-A-Thon is two weeks away!  The La Canada Flintridge Educational Foundation's motto is "Every Child Counts" so their goal is to have every child participate in our 14th  Annual Jog-A-Thon on Wednesday  November 16.  The money raised will help fund teachers for smaller classrooms as well as for art, music, drama and Spanish at the elementary schools and much more.   This year they  have gone green and created a website that will not only allow donations online, but allows the students to have their own page with pictures and the new social media capabilities on a secure website.   They can learn and have fun at the same time all for a great cause - our schools and our community.   So let's get those pledges in to keep our schools great!

 

For those of you who have already registered your child and sent donations, THANK YOU!  For those who haven't yet had a chance, visit www.lcfef.org to view the Jog-A-Thon site and register your child.

GIFT CARD FUNDRAISER

 

 

We are having our first PCR GIFT CARDS Fundraiser!!!
It is already November and Holidays are around the corner. Make your list, check it twice and be done with your shopping. Don't go to the local grocery store. Please take a look at the awesome list and shop while making money for our PTA and School Programs. We need your support. Besides gifts for others, buy some for your day-to-day merchant use such as Whole Foods, Panera, Dick's Sporting Goods, Starbucks, Target.....

If you prefer not to create an account and would like to handle your order by paper, please go ahead and Download and print the order form ( free feel to write in merchants listed on website but not on the condensed order form). Please include your Student's info, contact phone number and email if available. Go ahead and turn in paper form along with check into the Gift Wraps Fundraiser Collection Box in the office.
