Greetings!

Hello again and welcome to our March e-newsletter, and as usual a busy few months at the marina.

A brand new floating shop, The Boat Shed has recently opened, selling all the basic essentials along with some very specialised gourmet goodies. Glen and Anne operate both The Boat Shed and Soldiers Point Boat Hire and I wish them every success.

The recent 2010 Interclub Gamefish Tournament was a busy time for Port Stephens and the marina, and drew near record entries. I would like to thank the crew at The Deck Cafe for their very early starts in cooking breakfasts for all the fishing crews with compliments of Soldiers Point Marina.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and Happy Easter.

Hope to see you all soon and happy boating.

National SB3 Titles held from Soldiers Point Marina

As part of the Sail Port Stephens Regatta, this year also sees the SB3's come to town for their National Championships and call Soldiers Point Marina their home. Up to 20 of the pocket rocket one design sports boats are expected to make up a solid fleet to fight it out for the national title.
At this stage, they'll race Friday 16th, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th April.

Their courses will vary according to weather conditions, but Principal Race Officer Denis Thompson plans to stage some of their races in the western basin of the Bay - near SPM.

The Deck Café/Waterfront Bar

Expect a big warm Greek greeting from the Pappas family when you call in for breakfast, lunch or dinner, 7 days a week. The ever popular café menu has a Mediterranean influence or you can simply enjoy a quiet waterside cocktail at their Bimini bar.

Interclub Gamefish Tournament... Another Success

A very early morning complimentary cooked breakfast held on the four fishing competition days was greatly appreciated by the fishermen at the marina before they headed out for a long day on the water. This years tournament saw 197 boats competing over two weekends. With a great opportunity to spend time with their mates and swap tall fishing stories, a great time was had by all.
