The New York Chapter of National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), will hold its annual meeting on January 24, 2011. Administration Abruptly Pulls Plug on Medicare End-of-Life Counseling

A Medicare regulation that would have reimbursed doctors for discussing end-of-life planning with patients during their annual checkups has been reversed and withdrawn.  

The legislation has restored the estate tax for two years at a 35 percent tax rate, with estates up to $5 million exempt from paying any tax. 

There are several things that parents should understand before beginning the IEP drafting process.
