The event is sponsored by the Westchester Independent Living Center and the Westchester - Fairfield Nonverbal Learning Disabilities Support Group.

Harriet P. Schleifer, Esq., will speak at "Parents for Parents: Advocating for Your Child with Special Needs," sponsored by JCC/Rosenthal-Yorktown Branch, in Cortlandt Manor, NY, at 7:30 p.m. on October 7.

Adrienne J. Arkontaky, Esq., is the chairperson for The John A. Coleman Walkathon, to be held at Tibbetts Field, Yonkers, beginning at 11:30 a.m. on October 3; for Westchester Arc's "A Matter of Taste," from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on October 27, in Ardsley, NY, and for the Family Ties of Westchester Champions of Children Dinner at Lake Isle Country Club on October 28  from 6:00 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Bernard A. Krooks, Esq.,
will discuss special needs trusts at the MetLife Annual Symposium  in Washington, D.C., from 8:00-10:45 a.m. on October 15.

Susan Israel, Esq., Melissa Hayn,
and Hallie Cunningham will lead Littman Krooks teams participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's in White Plains on October 3, Dutchess County on October 16, and New York City on October 24.
