Newly-Elected President of Westchester Estate Planning Council
December 21,2009-White Plains, New York- Bernard A. Krooks has been named to the prestigious roster of Best Lawyers in America for the fourth year in a row, recognition of his pioneering role in the area of elder law. Elder law is a hybrid practice, requiring deep understanding of estate planning, public benefits, and tax law. Mr. Krooks is a founding partner of Littman Krooks LLP.
He is also president-elect of the Estate Planning Council of Westchester County and has been named to the advisory board of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils Foundation. The Estate Planning Council of Westchester County fosters collaboration between attorneys, CPAs, financial planners, and other estate planning professionals in order to better serve the public.

Bernard Krooks is one of only 45 individuals in New York State to be certified as an elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. He is a past president of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and past chair of the Elder Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. He has testified before Congress and the New York City Council on long-term care issues. He is listed in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, and "The Top 25 Lawyers in Westchester County."
