Needle Last Chance to Register for Thursday's e-Seminar:

High-Throughput Screening of Abused Steroids in Urine Using

Direct TOFMS and  LC-High-Resolution TOFMS with

Comprehensive Ion Fragmentation

Workflows for monitoring abused chemical substances often use a high-throughput screening technique followed by an orthogonal technique to confirm positive results, a strategy that maximizes sample throughput while minimizing the chance of false positive results. Although these workflows typically use two independent technologies, a hyphenated chromatography-mass spectrometry system allows the same instrument to be used for both the initial high-throughput screening and confirmation. This complimentary e-seminar will introduce a new strategy and demonstrate the overall utility of high-performance TOFMS in the qualitative and quantitative analysis of abused drugs.

Presented by: Dr. Jürgen Wendt, LECO European Life Sciences and Chemical Analysis Centre

Thursday, June 14 at 9 am EST (North America), 1500 hours CET (Europe).

Applications Spotlight:

Increasing Confidence in Pharmaceutical Identification by Employing the Comprehensive Collision-Induced Dissociation Capabilities of MSc2™ on the Citius™ LC-HRT

Liquid chromatography interfaced to High Performance Mass Spectrometry,
defin
pilled as high resolution with high mass accuracy, provides the opportunity for
powerful analyt
ical solutions in pharmaceutical and biological research. This application note evaluates mass accuracy, resolving power, and database compatibility of product ion spectra obtained at different collision energies using MSc2, a novel presentation of MS/MS.
