Time to Un-Wind and S T R E T C H Stretching For Stress When stress weighs you down and you feel like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders, try this simple, yet effective stretch for the chest muscles. It will help you from slumping forward and give your lungs some room to expand! Place arms behind body with fingers interlaced together. Pull shoulders back, bringing shoulder blades as close together as you can, stretching to a mild point of tension, never to the point of burning or pain. Hold the stretch until the feeling of the mild tension begins to ease (generally about 15 seconds). Repeat 3 times, 3 times a day. |
