Arts in Education Week
September 11th-17th is Arts in Education Week!

Celebrate by bringing a Young Audiences of Massachusetts program to your school.

Arts in Education Week is also a great opportunity to contact your school committee members and state legislators who set education policy and share with them how the arts are integral to EVERY student's education.

Funding Opportunities
Local Cultural Council Grants

The Local Cultural Council (LCC) Program is the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation, supporting thousands of community-based projects in the arts, humanities, and sciences annually.

For more information on LCC grant opportunities, click here.

Don't forget: The next postmark deadline for grant applications is October 15, 2011.
STARS Residencies

Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) STARS Residencies (Students and Teachers Working with Artists, Scientists, and Scholars) provide grants of $500-$5,000 to help schools work with teaching artists, scientists, and scholars for residencies of three days or more in the arts, sciences, and humanities.
Any Massachusetts K-12 school (public, private, independent, and parochial) is eligible to apply.  The application is online, it's short, and it does not require any grant writing experience.

For more information on MCC STARS Residencies, click here.

Applications will be available online starting September 27, 2011 and have a rolling deadline.
