Skin Tip
What a great winter this has been! But, even with the milder winter your skin gets drier and less appealing looking. A dry skin problem can be uncomfortable and even maddening. Your skin might feel tight and painful and it might look dull or red or flaky. The dry air at this time of year draws all of the moisture out of your skin. Also, prolonged exposure to hot water can wash away the natural oils your skin produces to protect itself. If you get out of the bath or shower and skin feels tight, it's dried out. There are a few things you can do to help combat the dryness: Apply your moisturizer while your skin is still damp. Let it soak in for a minute or two and It will help lock in the moisture. Bundle up when you go out. Hats, scarfs and gloves will help your skin from the wind. Adding a humidifier to your room if your home doesn't have one will also help keep you moist. Remember that licking your lips will dry them out quickly, so protect them, too. Our lip balm is a great way to do that! We have several moisturizers to help you keep your skin supple. Whether your skin is just a little dry or as dry as the Sahara, we can help!

How to Speed Up the Drying of Nail Polish
Is there anything more bothersome than sitting around with a list of chores to do, except you can't do them because you need to wait for your nail polish to dry? Nail polish needs a minimum of 45 minutes to dry, and that's after you have spent several minutes cutting, filing, and prepping your fingernails for the nail polish to begin with. Is there any way you can speed up the drying process?Fortunately, yes! There are a few things you can do to try and cut down on the drying time for your nails. Here are tips:
- Apply thin, even coats. To really speed up the nail polish drying process, wait at least a minute between each coat before applying another one. The more dry the coat underneath the following coats are, the faster it will dry.
- Use cold water. One of the best tricks to speeding up the drying process as well as helping the nail polish keep from chipping is submersing your fingernails in cold water. Once your nail polish has been applied and allowed to dry for a while, place your fingertips in cold water and hold them there for at least a minute or two. You will notice that your nail polish will harden far more quickly than if you were to simply air dry them.
- Use quick-dry products. You might want to buy products that can be applied on top of your nail polish color. Sprays may work particularly well.
