We are excited to tell you more about our new Omnilux Light Therapy treatment. Omnilux light therapy offers clinically proven treatments with FDA clearances for mild to moderate acne, wrinkle reduction and stimulation of wound healing.
Acne, UGH! We all dread it, yet 85% of adolescents and young adults will experience it at some point by the time they are 24, and up to 50% of adults over 25 will have to deal with it. Acne is caused by an excess production of oil in the sebaceous glands that combines with dead skin cells to clog your pores. This combined with your normal skin bacteria causes the inflammation of the skin we associate with acne. Our Omnilux Blue light/Red light therapy works in combination to destroy the bacteria and decrease the inflammation associated with acne. Over the course of 4 weeks, 8 to 12 Omnilux treatments will be administered, alternating blue light/red light therapy. Xeomin...Another choice!
First there was Botox, then there was Dysport, and now there is Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA). It's pronounced Zee-oh-men and it is manufactured by Merz Aesthetics. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently approved this new botulinum toxin type A product to treat severe frown lines or "11's" between the eyebrows. Botox, Dysport and Xeomin have a lot in common, but they also have some important differences. Unlike its predecessors, Xeomin is "naked." There are no additives - just botulinum toxin type A. This may lessen a patient's likelihood of developing antibodies to Xeomin. When your body senses a foreign invader, it responds by creating antibodies and launching an attack. If this were to occur with a neurotoxin such as botulinum toxin type A, it may not have its desired effects. The cost is similar to Botox and Dysport. It's nice to have options!
