This Month's Skin Tip
A question that has been asked frequently lately is "Why if I don't smoke, do I get the smoker lines?" Well, ladies, a study was done and it has been found that now a couple of other culprits are on the scene! Apparently drinking from bottles and straws use similar muscles to the ones used when you smoke, therefore creating the same lines.
Another issue is younger and younger women having deeper frown lines between their brows. This has been linked to the use of smart phones and computers -- all that squinting! Next time you are on yours try to remember to relax those muscles. Of course we have ways of helping with those issues. Tis the Season for Coughing
Doesn't it seem like every fall we get hit with sniffles/sneezes and coughs out of the clear blue sky? There sure are a lot of germs circulating right now and if you find yourself down and out with a nasty cough, try this home remedy in addition to getting lots of ZZZs and fluids:
Homemade Honey & Lemon Cough Syrup - 1/2 cup honey
- 1 lemon (juiced)
- 1 TBS glycerin
Heat the lemon juice in a saucepan without bringing to a boil, add to honey and glycerin, mix thoroughly. Pour into sterilized glass jars and seal. Refrigerate. Instructions for use: Take 1 to 2 tablespoons as needed to relieve cough. |
