Register for Rock the Boat Cruise
 Youth ages 13-17 are invited to rock the waves on the Spirit of Washington boat cruise on July. The evening includes dinner, a live DJ, and dancing. Participate in great classes and events
 Beltsville Community Center has a great selection of summer classes and events during the month of July. Enjoy outdoor jazz concerts on July 14 & 28 at 7 pm. Also, there's still time to register your child (ages 8-12) in the facility's aerospace course (#993015), which runs from July 9-19, and video game design course (#992965), which runs from July 23-August 3. Experience life during the 18th century
Montpelier Mansion/Historic Site hosts Destination 18th Century: A Week of Hands-On History Days for Kids from August 6-10. Children ages 8-12 can explore a different colonial theme each day including "Native American Day," when kids will learn some of the traditions and lore of American Indians, "Militia Day," when kids will experience different aspects of military life, and "Parlor Day," when kids will learn about the rituals of tea, play parlor games, and learn other "social skills" of the 18th century. See an entertaining performance The Expressions: Talk Up, Not Down program presents the sixth annual Hip-Hop Poetry Choir performance at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts on July 13, 7 pm. This performance features works of poetry by 30 talented young people who participated in the Expressions program and worked with professional poets to create poetry as a tool for positive expressions.
