| A new, fine art exhibit, Black Abstraction, is on display at Arts/Harmony Hall Regional Center (Fort Washington) through March 12. The works of 12 contemporary abstract artists illustrate various mediums and methods. In this exhibition, curated by Jarvis DuBois, Black Artists of DC takes on the concept of abstract art in the 21st century. Please stop by during gallery hours to enjoy this great, FREE exhibit. Join us for a FREE event on Saturday January 22, 3:30-5 pm, a Walk and Talk with the Artists, followed by a reception from 5-7 pm with musical guest Bertell Knox and Generations. Read more here. |

| Harmony Hall Regional Center (Fort Washington) is hosting its Annual Winter Hand Dance for adults (ages 21 & up) on Friday, January 21, from 8 pm-midnight.  | Follow clues through history more
| Youth ages 10-17 are invited to participate in a very special Xtreme Teens program - Snap Shots: A Picture of History! This interactive romp through history invites you to use your wits and your camera to decipher the clues that take you on a journey across Prince George's County. All you need to participate is an e-mail address and a camera. The first clue will be given out on January 22. The first person to complete the journey by answering all clues will win a $100 Xtreme Teens Prize Pack! To register, send an e-mail to [email protected] with "Register" as the subject, and include your name, age, grade, and current school in the body. More details will be given upon registration.  | Enjoy snow tubing more | Join us on a trip to Ski Liberty for a fun, family snow tubing adventure. Attendees will be picked up at Harmony Hall Regional Center (Fort Washington) at 9 am on Monday, January 24 and will return to the center at 6 pm. The fee ($25/resident; $30/non-resident) includes snow tube rental, lunch and transportation; people of all ages will enjoy this trip.  January is National Skating month! There's always something fun going on at Tucker Road Ice Rink (Fort Washington) and Herbert Wells Ice Rink (College Park). Find out about public skating sessions, ice hockey, broomball, DJ S8 Nights, Super Saver sessions, bumper cars on ice and skating lessons offered. On Saturdays throughout January, Tucker Road Ice Rink is offering a public skating special - from 8-10 pm, bring a friend and they can skate for free with your paid admission!
