Enjoy a holiday hayride more
festival of lights hayridesThere's still time to enjoy a hayride through the Winter Festival of Lights at Watkins Regional Park. Everyone's invited to enjoy a hayride on Sunday, December 26 and/or Saturday, January 1 at 7 pm. Warm up by a campfire at Watkins Nature Center and enjoy holiday refreshments, too. The fee is $5/person and reservations are required. Call staff at 301-218-6770 to make your reservation.

pottery bisqueBrentwood Arts Exchange at Gateway Arts Center, Montpelier Arts Center, Clearwater Nature Center and many M-NCPPC community centers throughout the county are offering interesting winter arts classes. Jewelry making, stained glass, drawing, painting, animation, rug hooking, sculpture, ceramics and photography are just some of the arts classes for which you can register. Donate a tree, bench or garden and help support parks and community recreation facilities in Prince George's County. Through the M-NCPPC Commemorative Gifts program, a gift in honor or memory of a special person can leave a lasting legacy to the community. Excel as a lifeguard more
swim aquatics employeesAre you a certified lifeguard? Are you interested in being able to certify future lifeguards and teach CPR/AED training? If the answer is yes, M-NCPPC's Lifeguard Instructor Training Class is for you! Take a 10-week course taught by American Red Cross certified lifeguard instructors (SMARTlink # 349164), beginning Tuesday January 4, at Rollingcrest-Chillum Splash Pool. Prerequisites: Participants must be at least 17 years of age and possess a current (or within the last year) certification in basic-level Lifeguarding & First Aid and CPR/AED. zumba classSign up for a class in Zumba, a fusion of Latin and international music and dance themes, that creates a dynamic and exciting workout. Classes are offered at many M-NCPPC venues including
Largo/Kettering/Perrywood Community Center, where the 6-week class for those ages 18 & up meets on Mondays & Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm, beginning Monday, January 10 (SMARTlink #331764). Fees are $72/residents; $84/non-residents; or $6/class on a drop-in basis. For information call 301-390-8390.

skiingTake the family to Ski Liberty for a fun, snow tubing adventure on Monday, January 24 from 9 am-6 pm. Enjoy zooming down the perfectly carved lanes and relax on the moving carpet as it takes you and your tube back to the top. (Fee - $25/resident; $30/non-resident) includes transportation, snow tubing rental and lunch). Trips depend on sufficient registration No refunds unless trip is cancelled or unless spot is resold.
