holiday decorationsBillingsley House Museum is hosting FREE Holiday Open Houses on Fridays, December 10 & 17 from 9 am-3 pm. On Saturday, December 11, everyone's invited to enjoy a Holiday Lunch with Santa at Billingsley from 11 am-1 pm. Admission is $2/person or a canned good or unwrapped toy. Please RSVP for the holiday lunch by December 8; call 301-627-0730 for RSVPs and driving directions. NOTE: Children must be accompanied by an adult.

film reelThis season, Montpelier Arts Center's film series, Art on Film/Film on Art, features films that explore the immigrant experience. On Saturday, December 11, Dirty Pretty Things (R) will be shown at 6 pm and a Nigerian/Caribbean dinner will be served. On Saturday, December 18, Goodbye Solo (R) will be shown and barbeque is on the menu for dinner. Read more here

Montpelier Arts Center
On Sunday, Dec 12, Montpelier Arts Center is hosting its Eighth Annual Artists Open House from 12 noon-5 pm, and a public reception for the December exhibitions. Resident artists' studios will be open for a special holiday sale. Visit the studios, meet the artists and shop for art especially made for holiday gift giving. Work by the resident artists will be on display. From 2-4 pm there'll be a FREE public reception and awards ceremony for the artists in the Patuxent Art League Open Juried Exhibition. Prince George's Senior Idol Auditions:  Belt out a tune more

Do you like to sing? Calling all seniors (ages 60 & better) who'd like to audition for an opportunity to represent Prince George's County at the Maryland Senior Idol Program being held in March. Prince George's Senior Idol auditions will be held on Tuesday, December 14 from 1-4 pm at the Prince George's Ballroom in Landover. Come by and try out! Take a break! Come to the Harp for the Holidays - Holiday Tea program on Wednesday, December 15 from 11 am-1 pm. See Oxon Hill Manor decorated beautifully, and listen to the melodic sound of live harp music. Sip on your favorite tea and enjoy an assortment of delightful tea sandwiches and sweet selections. On Friday, December 17, the Prince George's Ballroom is having a Breakfast with Santa from 8-11 am. Join Jolly Old St. Nick for French toast, pancakes, bacon, fruit, juice and more. Stay and play fun, family games. Bring a camera! The fee is $3/person. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and reservations must be received by December 13. Call 301-341-7439 for reservations.
