| Ellen Linson Aquatic Center (College Park) is hosting the 3rd Annual Doggie Dive-In on Monday, September 13 from 6:30- 9 pm. Bring Rover for some healthy, fun recreation. The fee is $4 per dog and a maximum of 2 dogs per 1 human allowed. Dogs must be friendly, social, and curbed before entering the pool. Please call staff at 301-277-3717 for additional information.

Play tennis more
| Langley Park Community Center is offering an 8-week, introductory tennis program, taught by a USTA-certified coach, that includes instruction, practice and team spirit. Classes for youth ages 5-12 will be held on Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30pm (course #358064). Classes for those ages 13 & up will be held on Wednesdays, 6-7 pm (course #358014). Classes begin on September 15 and will be held at Lane Manor Park Tennis Court #2L in Adelphi. Fees are $35/resident and $40/non-resident. The 29th Festival Hispano will be held at Lane Manor Park in Adelphi on Sunday, September 19 from 12 noon-6 pm. Bring the family and celebrate the rich heritage of the Hispanic communities. Carnival games, a pet farm, pony rides, arts & crafts, music, entertainment, displays and exhibits will be featured. Admission is FREE; nominal fees for food and some activities. Montpelier Mansion is hosting Between Fences, a traveling exhibit and part of the Smithsonian Institution's "Museums on Main Street" initiative, from Sunday, September 19-Sunday, November 7. This magnificent exhibit tells the stories of fences and barriers across the U.S. Montpelier Mansion's companion exhibit, Barriers and Gateways: The Immigrant Experience, examines the invisible, yet very real, barriers faced by immigrants. In conjunction with these exhibits, a variety of programs including lectures, arts programs and more are being held throughout September, October and November. | In celebration of Active Aging Week, ladies and gentlemen ages 60 & better are invited to come out and have some fun each day from Monday, September 20 through Friday, September 24! The fun begins on Monday, September 20 at Lake Artemesia in Berwyn Heights with the Silver Sneakers Walk/Pedal/Paddle Event from 9 am-12 noon. Walk, cycle (on one of our tandem or 3-wheel bicycles), or paddle (in one of our kayaks) on beautiful Lake Artemesia at this FREE program. Throughout the week enjoy FREE swimming, walking, workouts, tai chi classes, line dancing, tennis, and more. Click here to read about all the great programs offered. | The Prince George's County Planning Board will hold two public forums to solicit comments on M-NCPPC's budget for planning, parks, and recreation in Prince George's County for the next fiscal year. These forums will begin at 7 pm on Monday, September 20, at Harmony Hall Regional Center (Fort Washington) and Monday, October 4, at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex (Landover). Individuals and representatives of community organizations who wish to speak at either forum may register online at www.pgplanning.org, or calling 301-952-4584, TTY 301-952-4366 to register. Written comments will be accepted until close of business, Friday, October 8. Comments may be mailed to: Samuel J.
