imaginations soar at the 16th Annual Thingamajig� Invention
Convention! The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington will host this incredible, FREE
event on Thursday,
July 29 from 10 am-3 pm at the Prince George's County
Equestrian Center/Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro. Children ages 5-14
will have the opportunity to participate in exciting, interactive activities
and an eco-friendly invention competition. Enjoy the innovative,

| Prince George's Summer Teen Theatre presents "Footloose," a lively
musical about teens, rebellion and dance. Enjoy performances by talented Prince
George's County teens. The show will be held at High Point High School in
Beltsville on Saturday, July 31 at 8 pm and Sunday, August 1 at 2 pm. Tickets
are $15 for adults, $12 for children under age 12, and $12 for seniors ages 62

| Engage in something wonderfully different! SHOEBERT
ALLEY GOES SALSA is coming to the Publick Playhouse on Saturday, July 31. The event begins at 6 pm
with a one-hour salsa dance lesson, followed by Bio Ritmo's Salsa Machine from
Richmond with a two-hour set that invites party goers to dance in the aisles
and in the alley beside the theatre. Latin food will also be available at
this indoor/outdoor rain-or-shine party. Tickets are $15/person, or gain
admission by bringing a NEW pair of shoes & socks for a toddler or school
age child. People of all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend. For more

Ride the
trails more
| Bicycles are now available to rent Mondays-Fridays (9 am-6:30 pm), Saturday (9 am-5:30 pm) and Sundays (12 noon-5:30 pm) at the Wells/Linson Complex in College Park. Select from
cruisers, mountain bikes, tandems and 3-wheel adapted bicycles! The complex is
located along the Anacostia Tributary Trail System which features miles of

| The Prince George's Sports & Learning Comlex will be hopping on
Saturday, July 31 from 6-10 pm for the National Day Day Xplosion program. M-NCPPC
will join with the Fox hit television show So
You Think You Can Dance in celebrating National Dance Day by bringing a
large group of participants together to perform a great, energetic hip-hop
dance number. We hope that hundreds of youth will participate in the program.
