Jubilee Voices at Temple Shalom, Jan. 13

In honor of the life of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Washington Revels Jubilee Voices will perform as part of the annual commemoration at Temple Shalom in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Jubilee Voices will join Cantor Lisa Levine, the Woodrow Wilson High School Chorus, the Kids Lead Teen Gospel Choir from the Girls and Boys Club of D.C., three Temple Shalom choirs and two temple-sponsored bands for this celebration of Dr. King's life and work.
This contemporary-style Shabbat celebration is part of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area activities leading up to Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 16. The event at Temple Shalom will be streamed live on jwash.net, but it will be even better in person!

 Join us to raise glass and song at McGinty's Public House in Silver Spring, MD. We will once again have the entire 2nd floor bar area! This Pub Sing sells out in advance -- so don't miss your chance... Heritage Voices at Ford's Theatre Sunday, February 12 at 1:30 and 2:30 pm |  As part of its Lincoln's Birthday Open House celebration, Ford's Theatre has invited the Washington Revels Heritage Voices to perform two 30-minute sets of music and spoken word on the Theatre stage. In addition to the day's activities in the Theatre, visitors can tour the Theatre Museum and preview the exhibits at the brand-new Center for Education & Leadership, which will formally open on February 21. The opening of the Center marks the completion of the last of three phases of Ford's expansion, which included a complete renovation of the Theatre and the inauguration of the Lincoln Project.
