The Shag 15 Hour Race September 25th
The 5th annual Shag is a 15-hour event this year. Teams of 2,3,4
and solo competitors will tackle the woods, wilds and waters of the
North Jersey Highlands. As usual, the exact venue and locations will be
kept secret until a few weeks before the race. The course will challenge racers of all
ability levels from first timers to experienced teams with strategic
route planning, tough single track, and interesting terrain. Course
design will feature a modified rogaine format which will allow teams to
collect optional CPs at their discretion. The team with the most points at the end of the 15 hour race will be crowned SHAG champions. Learn more and register HERE |
Checkpoint Tracker Series
NYARA is proud that The Shag be part of the 2010 Checkpoint Tracker Series which allows teams to earn points toward the CP Tracker National Championship in the Rocky Mountain region. Checkpoint Tracker teams may compete in as many events as they choose,
but only their best results are counted towards their points total.
This prevents a team from "gaming the system" by simply attending more
events than other teams.
And the beefed up Checkpoint Tracker website allows teams to add their racer and team profiles as well as easily register for CP Tracker races directly through the site. Here's all you need to do:
- Sign Up and create your Racer profile
- Get your teammates to Sign Up
- Create your Team profile
- Add your teammates' Racer profiles to your Team
- Add Events to your Team schedule
- Race and earn points...make it to Nationals?
