A recent post on Facebook said, "What if you awoke tomorrow morning with only the things you'd expressed gratitude for or had championed today?" It gave me a moment of pause as I contemplated: what exactly had I expressed gratitude or appreciation for that day... there's so much I would never want to live without and would certainly miss in my life. It also reminded me of the difference between putting our focus on that which we are "for" versus that which we are "against"... a slight but powerful difference. This week, be inwardly and outwardly grateful for all the things and people in your life you would never want to be without. And, every time you hear yourself saying, "I don't want that. I don't like that. I'm against that." Try feeling the instant infusion of a higher energy when you flip those statements around and focus your attention on what you do want, what you do like, and what you are a champion for. |
