A couple of weeks ago I attended the ADA / ADMC annual conferences in Orlando and, thanks to my amazing business manager, Vanessa Emerson, I stayed at the brand new Peabody Hotel. It was an exquisite experience in every way... if you ever get the chance to stay there, do it!

As trying as travel can be these days, Vanessa always does what it takes to make sure I get to stay in a comfortable, if not outstanding, hotel. She always ensures I stay at the same hotel as my business event, if at all possible, knowing that it will be so much easier for me on the road. She makes sure keys are waiting for me in my rental car at the airport along with a GPS and that I'm always booked in the window seat on long flights home so I can easily sleep on my travel pillow. My travel arrangements sheet for each event is emailed to me with the cell phones of my hosts, confirmation numbers, and directions to each venue.
Whew. On every trip I always think about how much I appreciate her attention to detail and how well she cares for me without being asked.
But that's just it: I always THINK about it...
but rarely do I actually SAY it to her.
I recently arrived home to the following email from her:
Hi there, sunshine! We're both up bright and early this fine, glorious morning! Heading out for my walk. Have fun with your spa day today. Can we talk after your appointments to address the high priority items we need to discuss?
