Finally! Here they are in their entirety -- five questions guaranteed to help you get and stay in the zone. Use them with our best wishes for creating your best year ever... one day and five questions at a time!.
Question #1: What is my "Success of the Day?"
Question #2: What do I need to let go of?
Question #3: What am I creating? (And what small step can I take towards its creation?)
Question #4: Where am I the victim vs. the victor?
Question #5: For what am I grateful?
Imagine trying to leap across a canyon that is four feet wide... from ten feet down. Now try to imagine leaping the same four foot gap when you are level with the other side. This is what gratitude gives us. It doesn't take away the gap of wanting in our lives ... it simply elevates us to make the leap more feasible. We don't start from below... we start from level footing.... from full instead of empty.
Everything is relative. What one would consider not enough, another would consider wealth beyond all measure. This is where the daily practice of gratitude is so essential. It is the great equalizer of negative emotions and internal stories spinning out of control. The reason for this is that it is impossible to feel gratitude and lack at the same moment. The discipline of daily gratitude for what you already enjoy, already have in abundance or where you are already strong keeps us in balance and gives a stronger platform from which to wish, desire, work, and receive.
Contrast between what we want and what we don't want; what we have and what we don't have; what feels good to us and what does not ... is what creates our heart's desire. And from our deepest desires are borne all our dreams, goals, and I believe ultimately, our reality. So gratitude for what we have, set against what we don't yet have, gives us the contrast we need to recognize and set into motion our dreams.
Gratitude serves us big time. I'm so grateful... for gratitude.
And don't' forget... when counting and recounting your many blessings, spend a tiny moment on those who might be less fortunate (there will always be many) and set your intention on who you can be of service to today... all springing from your full and rich platform.
