 About Pratham
Pratham is India's leading NGO in the area of primary education. Its mission is to ensure that every child in India is in school and learning well. Pratham's community-based pre-schools, libraries and remedial education programs reached almost 1 million children last year alone. Its catalytic Read India program works with communities and schools to improve the learning levels of children - over 31 million children have benefited from this program since 2007. Pratham's supporters include the Gates Foundation, the Hewlett Foundation and Google.org as well as hundreds of thousands of individuals and corporations who believe in the transforming powers of education.
