Black History Month Celebration
Wednesday, February 17 7:30 PM on the Montgomery Theater Project Stage
Taking place in the South during the spring and summer of 1965, Six Nights in the Black Belt tells the story of Jonathan Daniels, a seminary students from Boston who travels south to take part in Martin Luther King, Jr.'s march from Selma to Montgomery and ends up giving his life for the civil rights movement.
Based on a true story, the play reveals Daniels' path to service, and how his legacy inspired others.
Please join us for this reading in honor of Black History Month. There is a suggested donation of $10, $5 for students and seniors. Reservations not necessary.
Please stick around after the performance, when the cast, which hails from New York City, Boston and Providence, will conduct a 30 minute question and answer session. **You can enter the Project Stage through the back of the Montgomery Theater building at 124 N Main Street in Souderton.**
