Catch the Spirit of the Holidays!
Dear Reader,

Just when I think we have wrapped up all our communications for the year, more good news comes our way. So here is a relatively short email to catch some of the remaining events until the end of the year and a note for a meeting in January you won't want to miss.

Have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah and a Prosperous New Year. May you spend a joyful  holiday with your loved ones.

Live Music and Good Food
On Sunday, December 20, join in the fun and food at the Souderton Family Restaurant as they celebrate the season with their customers.  This annual event is their "Thank You" to their loyal customers.

From 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm, they will have live music as they bring in a full band to perform Christmas music. Carol said they have a special treat- Chick Hennings will be joining in to sing with the band!

They will have the full regular menu but, for this celebration, they will have specials for $5. The Souderton Family Restaurant wanted to make sure this party was affordable for ... families!

Don't' forget that this is a BYOB event.  Carol reports that in the past, people have brought the most delicious eggnog to the celebration.

Of course, the restaurant will be open until 8 pm but the music will be the afternoon highlight. So don't miss this annual celebration at the Souderton Family Restaurant!
 Annual STMS Holiday Party
For the past several years, we have had a holiday party for STMS volunteers on Christmas Eve. It is an informal BYOL event. (That's buy your own lunch!)  We chose a restaurant that can hold a crowd and anyone without a big party to attend stops by.

We have a lot of laughs and a good meal. It usually the last most of us will see one another until the January meetings begin after the holidays.

Offices that only have a few employees join us to share the holiday spirits. Usually we pass the word to STMS volunteers but this year we are merging it with the December Business Roundtable. The more, the merrier philosophy!

It is a fun, laid back and relaxing way to end the work week before the holiday. As a BYOL event, we make it cost effective and stress-free. Plus the food at the Reliance Inn is terrific!

Because Erika and I have other commitments on Christmas Eve, we are hosting this event on Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 12:30 pm at the Reliance Inn. Please RSVP if you want to join in the fun.

We Need Your Help
Mark your calendar for Monday, January 11, 2010 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm for a meeting you don't want to miss! We are working with the professional planners from Montgomery County on the Souderton-Telford Community Visioning Meeting!

This very important meeting will be held in the Telford Community Building at corner of S. Hamilton Street and E. Madison Avenue in Telford.

Residents, business and property owners are invited to join the Boroughs, Souderton-Telford Main Streets and Montgomery County Planning Commission as we set goals and prioritize projects for the 2010 Community Revitalization Plan.

Enjoy refreshments and community spirit as you help plan for the future of the two boroughs!
Give Us Your Opinion
Go to the online survey and give us your opinion.  So far, 96 people have completed the online survey.

This is the first time an online survey has been used for the community planning process and the results are exceeding expectations.

(This is Souderton and Telford. Why should it surprise anyone that we excel?)

When you complete the survey, you can enter to win a drawing for dinner for two at the Reliance Inn. Many thanks for the Reliance Inn for their support of this planning process!

Friday Night Music

We have one more night of music on Friday nights in Souderton before the holidays.  This time, Jubilee will be the featured artists on Friday, Dec. 18 from 7-9 pm at Main Street Java.

Check out this lively local trio as they play your favorite classic soul and R&B hits! You won't want to miss this evening enjoying inspirational smooth jazz originals. Be sure to come early-they pack the place out!

Music at Main Street Java will resume on January 8. Check out their website for details!

A Beach In Telford?

The Bier Garten has new management.  We met the new manager when he stopped by to register for the Souderton Holiday Parade. He has plenty of positive changes in the process at Bier Garten.
Beer
He has added a large selection of micro-brews and is looking to entice new customers to see the major renovations that they have done inside. That brings us to the beach in Telford.

The Bier Garten is holding a Beach Party to celebrate the New Year...complete with sand. Stop by Bier Garten in Telford for more details or call 215-723-7025.
