Catch the Spirit of the Holidays!
Dear Reader,

I have worked in both mall and downtown management for over 20 years. With all that special event planning experience, I have never seen a community like Telford.

They embrace new community events with an enthusiasm that is unprecedented. For the first tree lighting ceremony last year, we had over 300 people attend.  The farmers' market just keeps growing.

With an addition of more Telford volunteers, this year will be even more impressive than last year.( I am afraid of what this event will evolve into in 10 years. )

You don't want to miss the beginning of this journey. Read on and plan to join us on Friday, Dec. 11 for this year's Telford Christmas Celebration!

The Very Busy Evening

Friday, Dec. 11 will start out in warmth.  Local favorite, Tara Lynn, will debut her holiday CD at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 7 pm.

We have music from Jeff Ward starting at 6:30 pm. So come early, find a seat and visit with your neighbors before Tara Lynn's concert at 7 pm.

At 7:30 pm, Tara Lynn will lead the audience down to the pavilion in the Marketplace at Telford Station. Local music school, Carousel Productions, will be doing a melody of Christmas Carols at the pavilion.

Tara Lynn and Carousel Productions will lead the crowd in holiday carols until The Big Guy in Red arrives.

With the help of the crowd, Santa will light the Telford Christmas Tree and then he will be available to visit.

All this happens regardless of the weather. It would take a dangerous ice storm for us to call a cancellation.

Help Your Neighbors

One of the highlights of the Telford Tree Lighting Celebration is the generous support everyone brings for the Jessica Leshinskie Memorial Holiday Food and Gift Drive.  Last year, the amount of cash and gift cards that were handed to Randy Floyd was humbling.
Gift Drive
This Drive is run by the Telford Police Department with a proceeds going to local families who would not have a memorable holiday without the generous outpouring of support from their neighbors.

Bring non perishable food items, cash or gift cards to grocery or general merchandise stores and give them to Randy Floyd.
