Start with Dedication
sculptureOn Saturday morning at 10:30 am, join us at the new Parking Plaza in Souderton as the Indian Valley Arts Foundation dedicates the new Wayne Trapp sculpture to the community.

Rep. Bob Godshall and Souderton's Mayor John Reynolds will be on hand to share their wisdom. Come join us in celebrating this wonderful public art installation.

Learn more about the sculptor, the sculpture and the Indian Valley Arts at the STMS website.
And Santa Does Not Look a Day Older!
Did you catch this blurb in the Souderton Independent?

"Santa to Parade Thru Town Saturday - Santa's coming to town! The kids are in for a real treat this Saturday afternoon when they will have the opportunity to see Santa Claus in person in a parade through Souderton and later will be given gifts and a chance to chat with him in the Souderton Area Joint High School Auditorium."

santaThis clipping is from 50 years ago and so little has changed!  Fifty-one years later, Santa will participate in person in the annual Souderton Holiday Parade this Saturday at 11 am... and I bet he won't look a day older.

The blurb does not say how many units rode in the parade but this year we will have over 75! So bundle up and bring out your family to enjoy a tradition that has endured for over 50 years because everyone loves a parade!

Santa won't be doing a meet and greet at the old Souderton High School after the parade but he will be doing so at the Scout Cabin from 3 pm to 5 pm. Bring the kids up to the park to visit with Santa, participate in the caroling and drop off a gift to Santa for Toys for Tots. He knows what to do with those Toys for Tots gifts.

Between the Parade and the fun at the Park, warm up with lunch at any of the great lunch options in both towns. We also have some great places to pick up Christmas gifts, too!

Parade Registration Still Open
You can still register online for the 51st annual Souderton Holiday Parade!  Let's see if we can come close to last year's record of 100 units in the parade.

grand prix 09We are proud to announce that Harleysville Savings Bank is our name sponsor for this year's parade.

They are opening a new branch office on County Line Road in February and saw this as a great way to let our local community know they are coming.

Photo Contest for the Parade
Classic Towns, Classic Christmas is the theme for next year's Souderton Holiday Parade.

We need a photo for next year's postcard to convey that theme.  We are challenging anyone and everyone to submit a photo from this year's parade that they think captures that theme.

We print about 5000 of those postcards for circulation so send us your best parade photo and see it everywhere next year, if it is chosen by the Promotion Committee.

lego cameraYou can email it to the Souderton Telford Main Streets office or upload at our Facebook page. Obviously, we need it in a high resolution, digital format.

So bring your camera and have fun on Saturday.

More? You Want More Fun this Weekend?
Well, that's why you live in the Indian Valley! We have so much more going on than anyone realizes.

This is the last weekend to capture the holiday spirit at the Montgomery Theater's holiday show. "I Love My Wife." Where else will you find a musical set in Trenton, NJ at Christmas during the sexual revolution on the early 70s?

They still have tickets for this weekend. Click here to find information about tickets and times.
