Univest Bike Race Invitation!
|
No, you are not being invited to race in this international professional bike race.
You are being invited to participate in the next best thing: the Univest
Grand Prix's Community Expo! Below is the letter of invitation from Kristen Nonnemacher at Univest to local community groups and businesses.
This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your best to an audience that has time spend between the exciting start of the race and the unbearably dramatic finish laps in downtown Souderton.
For your convenience, we put all the registration forms on our website for you to download.

The Actual Invitation
|
The 12th annual
Univest Grand Prix is just around the corner. Mark your calendars
for this year's event in Souderton on Saturday,
September 12, 2009.
As a local business, Univest would like to extend an offer
to be a part of the Univest Grand Prix's
Community Expo on September 12 from
10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The Expo allows local businesses to set up a
tent around the action near the start/finish line in town. This is a great
opportunity for you to promote your business to thousands of spectators.
The participation cost is FREE, if your organization
can provide a 10 x 10 tent, table, tablecloth, and 2 chairs. If your
business cannot provide these items, Univest will rent them for you for a cost
of $150.
If your business is interested in participating in the 12th
annual Grand Prix, please complete and return the enclosed application.
Thank you for taking the time to consider having your
business participate in our region's biggest event of the year!
If you have any questions, please contact me by email or at

Sincerely,
Kristen Nonnemacher

Concert Sundaes Goes Klezmer
|
What can you say about a group that describes themselves as "klez/Funk fusion from other planets, played by genuine aliens masquerading as virtuoso musicians!"? Check out Klingon Klezmer and imagine what Klezmer music will sound like when we reach the stars.
They are playing at the band shell in Souderton on Sunday, July 19 at 7 pm.
I will be away on vacation. Could someone let me know where Chief Quinn lets them park their starship?

Tourist-Ready Businesses Read This!!
|
There is still time to sign up for this wonderful opportunity! We are joining forces to promote tourism in Souderton and Telford.
The Valley Forge Convention and Visitor Bureau has an opportunity for businesses within the borough that are visitor-ready and visitor-attractive to join the CVB at a reduced amount-$50- to participate in a multi-layer program.
Catch the cool video on their special site for downtowns.
The Visitor Guide will be going into production in early July, so we need to get anyone interested in participating signed up as soon as possible. You don't want to miss having your business listed in this publication. They print and distribute 400,000 to people who want to visit Montgomery County.
This article has more details and the forms that you need to complete.
