Keeping up is the Challenge

Keep sending us the information to post on our website and this email. We try our best to keep it fresh.

Stay tuned to www.stmainst.org for more updates!

Occasionally, we encounter a restaurant that is not open on Tuesday but we still want to visit. Vietnam Café is one of those.

Consequently, the March Business Roundtable will be held on WEDNESDAY, March 11 at 12:30 at the Vietnam Café in Telford.

Please RSVP to Erika so we have an accurate account of attendees.

As an incentive to attend, we will bring the latest copy of the plans for the Broad Theater to share with anyone attending the luncheon.

Souderton Area School District will be closing the High School this summer and they want the local business community to be part of their celebration on Saturday, May 30.

The public is invited to tour the old high school one last time between 10 am and 4:30 pm.

The local businesses, and especially the restaurants, are invited to set up a booth during that time to sell food. Sam Varano is coordinating the details but he is excited to hear from you at 215-723-6061 x233 or by email.

If you cannot set up a booth, we need to brain storm on how to make downtown Souderton and Telford look welcoming to the alumnae who come to visit that weekend.

Don't let the businesses in the surrounding townships steal our thunder.

Watch our website as we develop a plan. Better yet, come to a Promotion Committee meeting to help with the planning. Contact Erika for dates and times.

  • Rudy and Jeff- Chicago

The first week in March is not an ideal time to tour Chicago and the surrounding area but we persevered.

Jeff Gross, Souderton Borough Councilman and STMS Board member and Design Chair, attended the conference with the Main Street Manager to learn about Main Street best practices from across the country.

Rudy Flores, the former intern who did the research, analysis and writing of the Souderton Parking Management Study, also attended since he is living in Chicago now.

Tours, sessions and conversations with professionals and volunteers from around the country and Canada kept everyone busy for five long days.

We returned with loads of ideas to share and to use to improve Souderton and Telford.
