Keeping up is the Challenge

Keep sending us the information to post on our website. We try our best to keep it fresh.

Stay tuned to www.stmainst.org for more updates!

We add information on a weekly basis so don't miss anything!

Souderton native and 1981 Souderton High School graduate, Jamie Moyer, made everyone in his hometown and the surrounding area proud with his contribution to the World Series winning team, Philadelphia Phillies.

Send him a message via email at his foundation, Moyer Foundation.

Better yet, participate in the Thanks A Million campaign and make a donation to the Moyer Foundation.

The Souderton Big Red Band is participating in the celebration in Philadelphia. Read the article about their excitement.

The Morning Call sent a reporter to write about how Souderton was reacting to the Phillies' excitement and their memories of Jamie Moyer.

  • The November Business Roundtable
  • Let's break out of our comfort zone and try something different. November's Business Roundtable will be held at Viet Nam Café on Penn Avenue in Telford.

Join us on Tuesday, November 11 at 12:30 pm as we sample Vietnamese cuisine. We will also be talking about upcoming activities in Souderton and Telford.

RSVP to Erika so we know how many seats to save.

  • 50th Anniversary of the Souderton Holiday Parade
  • Mr and Mrs Santa

Companies, Community Groups and Individuals are registering on line for the Souderton Holiday Parade.

Don't miss this beloved part of our local heritage. Join your friends, family and neighbors on Saturday, December 6 at 11 am in downtown Souderton for this historic event.

You can find everything you need to know to participate or watch the parade at our website.

  • Postcards Available
  • Postcards for the annual Holiday Parade are available in the STMS office.

Please let us know if you would like to send them to your customers or employees. We will share them on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Share the excitement of the 50th Anniversary with your customers and clients! Give them an excuse to stop in to thank you for inviting them.

Follow Chuck Pelligrini's example at State Farm and make the Parade a special event at your business. He hosts an Open House with hot chocolate, donuts and makes his restrooms available to the public that day.

  • Telford's First Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
  • Join us on Friday, December 5 at 7 pm at the Pavilion at the Marketplace at Telford Train Station as we create a community tradition.

Barn School of Dance will perform excerpts from the Nutcracker. Mayor Stover will be our Master of Ceremonies.

We invite churches and families to carol their way through Telford and arrive at the ceremony at 7 pm. Warm cider and cookies for everyone afterward.

Make this part of your family's holiday tradition!

  • Tree Lighting in Souderton
  • Santa comes to Souderton in a big way with the annual Holiday Parade.

Consequently, he is going to light the holiday tree as he passes by in his antique fire truck. Mayor Reynolds will be on hand to help with these new duties.

The Promotions Committee is looking for a group to sing Christmas carols after the tree is lit. Anyone interested should contact the STMS office.

  • National Historic District for Souderton
  • Souderton-Telford Main Streets is proud to announce that private funding is enabling the Design Committee to move forward on a long-awaited project.

Keystone Preservation Group from Doylestown has been hired to begin the process of inventorying the properties in the proposed Souderton National Historic District and preparing the extensive nomination.

Learn more on the website and learn how you can participate in this process over the next several months. We will post information as it becomes available.

  • Quarterly Board Meeting
  • The next Quarterly Board meeting will be held on Thursday, November 20 at 6:30 pm at the STMS office.

The topics will include finishing setting the goals, the five-year plan and the election of the officers.

The first Quarterly Board meeting in August was well-attended and very productive. The food was good, the camaraderie was warm and the meeting was fast-paced and interactive.

Make a note to attend the next Quarterly Board meeting of the Souderton-Telford Main Streets. RSVP to Erika so she will know how much food to order!
