Keeping up is the Challenge

Keep sending us the information to post on our website. We try our best to keep it fresh.

Stay tuned to www.stmainst.org for more updates!

We add information on a weekly basis so don't miss anything!

The Business Roundtable will be held on Tuesday, October 14 at 12:30 pm at La Casetta Ristorante Italiano at 301 Reliance Road, Telford.

With so much news at the local and national level to talk about this month, the conversation should be rather lively. This luncheon is open to anyone who would like to network with other local business people.

Come join us for lunch and learn about new and ongoing initiatives of the Main Streets program, meet a welcoming group of people and enjoy some outstanding Italian food. BYOL (Buy Your Own Lunch)

Please RSVP to Erika to let us know if you are going to join us.

  • Don't Miss the Chamber Expo on Thursday
  • Souderton-Telford Main Streets has a booth at the annual Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce's Business Expo. Join us from noon to 7 pm at the highlight of the business calendar for the Indian Valley business community.

Anyone interested in volunteering at the STMS booth for an hour, please contact Erika Pipe to put your name on the schedule.

If your business does not have a booth (space was limited) come, hangout at the Main Streets booth and talk about the exciting changes that are occurring!

  • Indian Valley Chamber Week
  • It is impossible to miss the publicity on the Indian Valley Chamber Week. They have something exciting going on all week. Please take time to attend as many of the activities as possible. Check out their website to get the details and tickets to the Restaurant Expo.

Hat's off to STMS volunteer and local designer, Gwen Cukierski, for being one of the artists featured at the Arts Gala at Generations. Come by to see her work and to enjoy an evening of visual and performing arts.

Of the 16 participating restaurants in the Restaurant Tasting Festival, five are from the boroughs of Souderton and Telford: The Caboose Grille, Main Street Java, Melodia Grill, Tilly Mint's Tea Room and The Reliance Inn.

  • How Many Dining Options Do We Have?
  • As a conversation starter at the Business Expo, we produced in-house a dining guide to the Boroughs as a handout. Make sure you stop by the STMS booth to pick one up.

Let us know what you think so we can incorporate changes into it before we give it to a professional graphic designer for the final version.

  • Enticing New Businesses
  • Although the economy does not support new businesses today, the Economic Restructuring Committee is ready for a positive change.

They have worked to produce a brochure to entice new business owners to look more closely at doing business in the two Boroughs. It is also available online as a pdf file for printing.

  • Good Food and Music
  • The Reliance Inn has a schedule of live entertainment for the next two months. Every Thursday, 9pm-12am, a DJ will spin and everyone can do Karaoke.

Saturday Oct. 11 from 9pm-12am, Jamie Stem will perform. Saturday Oct. 18, 6-9pm, Jim Loftus, will be featured. Check out the Reliance Inn or the STMS calendars for the full line up.

  • Energy Workshop

The Montgomery County IDC shared an upcoming October 15 workshop that will outline the initiatives stemming from the recently passed $650 million energy package that will generate tremendous opportunities for job creation and business growth at local levels.

Details are posted on the STMS website with links for registration. In this economy, we need to explore all the programs that may be available for our community's businesses.
