Everyone loves a parade and the 49th Annual Souderton Holiday Parade has something for everyone to love. From the Big Red Marching Band to antique tractors, the parade will be filled with over a thousand smiling faces.

The parade will start at 11 am on Saturday, Dec. 1 and continue for nearly 2 hours. Bring the family and find your favorite advantage point to watch your neighbors, friends and local businesses parade past.

Everything you want to know about the Parade is at our website.

  • Cool Idea at State Farm
  • Chuck Pellegrini has been involved with the parade for years but this year he has come up with a very clever idea. He and his staff are opening the State Farm office at 546 East Broad Street as a warming and rest stop for anyone coming to watch the parade along Broad Street.

He will have hot cider, donuts, rest rooms and a warm office for anyone who needs a break from the excitement and expected cold.

Hats off to Chuck and his staff for their thoughtful, neighborly generosity!

  • Main Street Java is Open
  • Main Street Java Storefront

As of 6 am Monday, November 26, 2007, Main Street Java is open! Jesse and his staff are ready to serve you hot coffee or tea, a soup or a sandwich. Check out his full menu at his updated website

Since the Hollow is a popular spot to watch the parade, we have warned Jesse to be prepared to be busy. His delicious hot coffee, hot chocolate and hot teas will all be popular!

  • Best Face Forward
  • Let's make sure we present our best face forward by making sure store windows, sidewalks and front entrances are looking their best.

The crowds coming to town for the parade may not be interested in purchasing holiday gifts on Saturday but make sure they know that they are welcome to return.

  • Business Roundtable
  • The Business Roundtable is a monthly informal luncheon for anyone who cares to learn about the revitalization activities, to network with fellow business owners or just to try a different restaurant with good company.

Anyone may attend. We have residents who like to join us. Business cards are exchanged and contacts made that benefit everyone. All that we ask is that you RSVP to Deb so we can give the restaurant owner an accurate count.

The December Business Roundtable will be held at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, December 13. We have been so busy with the Parade that we have not confirmed a location yet.

Watch for next week's E-Update for more details.
