The July Business Roundtable will be held at
the Reliance Inn on Tuesday, July 10 at
12;30 pm. It is hard to believe that the
Reliance
Inn in its current operation has only
been open a year. They have quickly become a
fixture in the local community.
Please RSVP to
Corry so we can give the Reliance Inn an
accurate count of attendees. We will be
talking about the River-to-River Bike Ride
promotion below and other upcoming marketing
opportunity. Of course, we always give an
update of happenings in both boroughs from
new businesses to ongoing projects to
improvements our downtowns.

Food Festival Kicks Off Farmers' Market

Friendly competition is a very good thing.
Especially when you find local restaurants
competing to out do each other at the Indian Valley
Farmers' Market's Food Festival on
Saturday, July 7 from 10 am to 4 pm. The
festival and the Farmers' Market will be held
in the parking lot next to the Train
Station at the intersection of Main Street
and Penn Avenue in Telford.
The inside scoop is that our finest local
chefs are determined to outshine themselves
and one another at their booths at the
festival. We all win when it comes enjoying
the best that Caruso's
Brick Oven Trattoria, 2
Fratelli's, the
Caboose Grille, Hometown
Favorites, Olde
Indian Valley Inn and the Reliance
Inn.
Forget about cooking after the holiday. Bring
your family and friends to the festival and
feast on the best food in town.

Volunteers Needed

Every good event needs to be set up and torn
down. The Indian Valley Farmers' Market Food
Festival is no exception. Volunteers are
needed for an hour or so in the morning to
set up the tents and to carry out the tables
and chairs for our dining area. After the
event, we will need help for about an hour to
clean up, put everything away and to take
down the tents.
Please call the office at 215-723-6627 to say
you are coming so we have an idea of how many
people to expect. Or you can just show up
between 8 am and 8:30 am to help out. We
won't turn away help! Many hands make the
load light.

Take a look around in Telford!

While you are at the festival and market,
take a look at the beautiful buildings that
are being rehabbed and the new pavilion that
is going up. The construction is moving
along on schedule and the potential is
becoming evident. When this project is
completed, we will have a wonderful hub in
downtown Telford for gathering with friends,
neighbors and family to enjoy an Irish Ice or
an Italian treat. This project is truly an
example of a community coming together to
make magic happen.

Indian Valley Farmers' Market

The Indian Valley Farmers' Market will return
to the normal hours of 8:30 am until 12:30 pm
on July 14 and continue at those times for
the rest of the 2007 season.
This year's participants include past
favorites and several new vendors. Look for
participants who will be making appearances
twice a month or just for a single market.
Our farmers provide a wide variety of fruit
and produce that change as the growing season
progresses. You are assured a good selection
of the best local produce at the peak of
their season and flavor. Support your local
farmers and learn what a difference "locally
grown" can make.
Learn more and keep track of the growing
season's offerings at www.ifvm.org.

River-to-River Bike Ride

The Souderton-Telford Main Streets is
partnering with the Heritage
Conservancy, the Route 133 Heritage
Corridor and PedalPA, on the annual River-to-River
Bike Ride on July 28. This year, the
start/finish/lunch location is at the Penn
Valley Church on Third Street in Telford.
They are anticipating over 400 riders from
all over the greater Philadelphia region,
Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland
and Delaware to be riding this year. The
Bucks County and Valley Forge Convention and
Visitor Bureaus have coordinated the
publicity for this event and the registration
numbers are growing as a result.
Drop by the Main Streets office at 18 Green
Street for brochures about the ride.
Welcome bags will be given to all the riders.
If your business would benefit from these
visitors that weekend, please bring 500
handouts or brochures about your business to
the Souderton-Telford Main Streets by Monday,
July 16. We will get them to the Heritage
Conservancy to be stuffed into the goodie bags,
