The April 10th Business Roundtable
will be held at Lisa’s Pizza on Reliance
Road at 12:30 pm. The topic of discussion
will be the upcoming events in the two
boroughs and how your business can take
advantage of the crowds. Come learn and
contribute your ideas. Promotions Committee
chair, John Ralston, will be on hand to share
the activities being planned by his committee.
Please RSVP to Corry at
the Main Street office so we can give Lisa’s
Pizza an accurate count of attendees.

And then there were none

In order to make room for parking, the barn
behind the soon-to-be renovated building at
Main Street came down yesterday and today.
Here is a of snapshot of the crew hard at work.
The new building owners, Charlie and Deb
Crown of Towne
Answering Service, are planning a
beautiful building rehabilitation.
Watch as they bring another Souderton
building back to life. They have already
worked their magic on several buildings
hidden out of sight on Diamond Street.
Better yet, come to the Business
Roundtable to ask them about their plans.
Both Deb and Charlie are regular attendees of
the Roundtable.

“Think Revitalization”

Another meeting that you should put on your
calendar is Tuesday, April 24 at 7 pm at
the Indian Valley Boys and Girls Club in
Souderton. Local developer, Charles
Ebersole, will be presenting his ideas for
the redevelopment of downtown Souderton. As a
major property owner in the borough, Mr.
Ebersole is in a position to have a major
impact on the revitalization of our
community. He has invited the public to come
to an informational meeting to learn about
his current and future plans.
This is an
unusual look at a redevelopment concept that will
affect so much. We should all make time to
attend, to listen and to ask questions.

Ideas to Steal

Each year, the National Main Street
Conference is held in a major city in the
United States and professionals and
volunteers involved in revitalizing their
communities converge. This year’s conference
was held in Seattle last week with a theme of
“Building a Sustainable Future” and
over 1300 attendees. After three and a half
days of tours, workshops and conversation
with peers, Souderton-Telford’s Main Street
Manager, Pam Coleman, came back with loads of
ideas to steal.
Come to the Business Roundtable on
Tuesday, April 10 to see hear about some of
the choice ideas she found.
