  • Congressman Charles Dent is Coming for a Visit!
  • Congressman Charles Dent

On Friday, March 16, 2007, Congressman Charles Dent will be visiting downtown Souderton. He has visits to several local community groups scheduled, but he also has requested time to visit with local businesses.

To accommodate this request, Souderton-Telford Main Streets is hosting a reception for the local business community and residents to meet the Congressman. The reception will be held at the Montgomery Theater, 124 Main Street, Souderton from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Everyone is welcome to stop by to talk to Congressman Dent about issues that affect the local region and to ask about events in Washington. Let's make him feel welcome in our wonderful community.

Anyone interested in donating hors d’oeuvre, please contact us. If you are interested in learning more about Congressman Charles Dent, feel free to visit his website.

  • Searching for Old Photos
  • Souderton-Telford Main Streets is looking for photos or other pictures of what Souderton and Telford used to look like. If you have any pictures that you think are from Souderton or Telford the Design Committee would love an opportunity to scan them into our archives. These archives will be used to assist business and property owners to make historically accurate decisions on façade improvements. Contact Corry for details.

  • Now is Your Chance to Recognize the Local Businesses
  • An official ballot in the Souderton Independent lets you vote for your favorite local businesses. The deadline for the ballots is March 9, 2007.

Show everyone why local downtown businesses are the best! Last year we had 16 businesses receive first place in 26 categories. You can fill out the ballot in the paper and send it to the Souderton Independent's office, located at 673 East Broad Street, Souderton. You can also fill out the same ballot online. So Vote! Tell your friends, family and strangers to Vote for Downtown Businesses!

  • Pam will be in Seattle, Washington
  • During the week of March 26-30, 2007, Pam will be out of the office. She will be attending the National Main Streets Conference in Seattle, Washington gaining ideas and useful tools to share with Souderton-Telford Main Streets. One of our volunteers, Jeff Gross, will also be attending the conference.

While Pam is out of the office, Corry will be in to keep things under control. Feel free to contact her with anything that needs attention.
