  • Main Street Companies Named Best Places to Work
  • Congratulations to Univest and Quest Diagnostics! They have been recognized as two of the 100 Best Places to Work In PA in the large-sized companies category (250 employees or more.) Univest originated in Souderton, still has its corporate offices here, and is expanding with a new building and another 170 employees downtown. Quest Diagnostics has a thriving location on Front Street in Souderton. Montgomery County was well represented on the list with a total of 10 companies in both categories.

  • Wheelwright

Congratulations to Dolores Stuart for opening The Wheelwright in record time. In less than a month, she and her husband, Carl, signed a lease, prepared the space, obtained the merchandise, and opened their new gift shop in time for the Souderton Holiday Parade. Stop by 100 Main Street, in Souderton at the intersection of Chestnut Street, to see what they have to offer for holiday gifts.

  • Street Parking Now Open
  • To make shopping in downtown Souderton more convenient, new parking on the east side of Main Street is now available. In fact, the parking spaces on both sides of "The Hollow" are completed. Slow down and look at the beautiful streetscape that is emerging in downtown. There is still work to be done, but you can already see how welcoming the area is becoming. Take pride and bring your holiday visitors downtown to see the changes.

  • 2006 Souderton Holiday Parade

Over 1,600 people representing 77 units cheerfully come together on Saturday, December 2, lined up in an orderly fashion, and marched down Main and Broad streets for the 48th annual Holiday Parade in Souderton. This heritage event reflects the cooperative spirit that is such an integral part of the communities here in the Indian Valley.

Pictured: Souderton Mayor Charles Allebach served as Grand Marshal and Police Chief Charles Quinn drove.
