June Resources from KPNM

Beach

Summer is a time when our thoughts turn to different things. It is no different for me and during the summer months, you will find that the resources are not quite as extensive.

We all need time apart from our routines when we can be with our families and take the time to renew ourselves. We live in such a wonderful world and though the economy is tight there are wonders all around us. Most of us (I am speaking for myself) go on vacation and enjoy other areas but have not explored our own back yard.

I am closing with something from the Jewish tradition. I am not sure where I got it, but I take it out from time to time to remind myself how true it is.

"Days pass and the years vanish and we...walk sightless among miracles.
Lord, fill our eyes with seeing and our minds with knowing. Let there be moments when your presence, like lightening, illumines the darkness in which we walk. Help us to see, wherever we gaze, that the bush burns unconsumed. And we, clay touched by God, will reach out for holiness and exclaim in wonder, "How filled with awe is this place and we did not know it.  Amen."
