Travis Dunn, TSI Thermo Scan gave a great overview of the new Indiana Energy Code and answered several questions. Paul Hallam was honored as the GIPHCC Contractor of the Year. He was presented the honor by outgoing President Laura Ciriello-Benedict. |

President's Message
 My first official order and of business as incoming President of the GIPHCC is to thank Laura Ciriello-Benedict for her outstanding service to our association. Laura has served and represented our association well, and I will make every effort to do the same. I would also like to thank Larry Metzler for encouraging me to become involved in GIPHCC when I started Nance Plumbing eighteen years ago. I look forward to working closely with our new and returning board members to continue making GIPHCC the place where Indiana's best contractors belong! I encourage all members to participate in association meetings and events. Remember to contact any board member with a concern, compliment, question, or suggestion for upcoming meeting topics/speakers. Our annual Golf Outing is on May 17, so please get your team together and/or sponsorship finalized to make this event a success! We're heading to Indiana Downs on June 20 for a relaxing evening of horse racing, good food and great company.

Our condolances to the family of Stanley Fite, Fite Plumbing. Mr. Fite passed away of April 11, 2012. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Goals & Recruitment
In October of 2011 we set goals for the coming year. One of those goals was 5 new contractor members and 5 new associate members. We already have signed up 3 new contractors since Oct.--Deem, Gills Plumbing, and True Energy. In addition we've added 8 associates-- RL Sales, Mercer Belanger, Morgan Stanley, Action Coach, 1-800 Water Damage, Mike Albert Fleet Solution, Penwell Insurance, and The Kersey Insurance Agency, LLC.
We adhere to the KISS philosophy (Keep It Simple, Stupid). Red name tags for prospective new members at meetings, information booklets, greeters, and the first free lunch. |
