:: Yarn Spotlight
Recently a non knitter friend stopped by and we were entertained by her enthusiastic response to all of the yarns!  She was thrilled to touch and caress all of the various textures and she loved the colors!  Imagine her reaction if she was a knitter or crocheter!

We love watching the variety of expressions of people when they first enter Knit-a-Bit! It's as if there is some sort of "glaze" that occurs when you are so in awe of the yarns and the projects that they could become! I've often said that there never seems to be enough time to knit and read as much as I would like to!

Speaking of knitting and reading, we are looking forward to the upcoming holiday weekend, the unofficial kick off to summer!  We will be closed this Memorial Day weekend and we wish everyone a safe, happy start off to the SUMMER!!

Delish!

This yummy yarn, looking good enough to eat is called Bambino Taffy from BeSweet!
Each skein has 100 yards that will self stripe in great color combinations!   It will be hard to walk away especially since one skein makes this adorable hat and the pattern is printed on the yarn label!  The best part, calorie free!  What's not to love!

Yarn Spotlight...

With the warm weather approaching, the idea of shorts and a tie dyed t-shirt is idyllic!  You don't have to get your hands dirty with this solution....Spray from Skacel is 153 yards of what could best be described as a fingering weight using a 2-3 needle and possibly a sport weight with a slightly bigger needle! This spray dyed (hence the name) 100% cotton is perfect for baby projects, summer tank tops or even a shawl!  Come check out this week's Yarn Spotlight!

Buttons, Buttons and Buttons!

Buttons are not always easy to find, but when you walk into Knit-a-Bit, you will see that you hit the jackpot!  We have a pretty big assortment of buttons and we love helping in picking the perfect one for your finished garment!  We often recommend waiting until the garment is finished before making a button selection....you want to make sure the completed buttonhole is big enough, the finished piece almost dictates the style of button it requires to make it "jump"and really, how much success is there when you buy the shoes before the outfit?
Hard to believe that I'm even mentioning this, but now is the perfect time to start creating gifts for the holidays!  Yup, with the approach of the warmer months, I'm thinking of holiday gift giving! Why not?  Consider it a subtle reminder!

Get a jump on that project this Monday night....Pam WILL be in "the house" from 8:00 - 10:00 and you don't have to plan ahead, just come by!

By the way, did you know that we have a Facebook page?  Check it out and "like" us!  You never know what benefits you may reap as a result!  Stay tuned!
